Positions
Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) for East Bay Troop Meetings
Plan agenda and lead our monthly East Bay Troop Meeting (1st Wednesday, 7:30 to 8:30 pm) in Fremont
Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL) for East Bay Troop Meetings
Assist SPL to help run the troop meeting smoothly
Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) for South Bay Troop Meetings
Plan agenda and lead our monthly South Bay Troop Meeting (3rd Wednesday, 7:30 to 8:30 pm) in San Jose
Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL) for South Bay Troop Meetings
Assist SPL to help run the troop meeting smoothly
Scout In Charge (SIC) for various activities
Lead the Troop event (hiking, camping, service projects etc)
Note:
a) We request scout volunteers who will be working at Troop Meetings to take 2 hours FCSN online volunteer training.
b) SPL, ASPL term is a 6-month period (Jan to June, July to December). You can start as a 'scout volunteer', then you can aim for SPL, ASPL for the future term.
Scout Volunteers need to be at least 13 years old.
Register as youth volunteer at FCSN before your first volunteer event.

If you decided to continue volunteering for Troop/Crew 488 as Scout in Charge duty or future SPL, ASPL position, please take 2 hours ‘new volunteer orientation’ (virtual) offered by FCSN. (You can get two service hours credit from this training for your school).
The upcoming outdoor events, service project information will be shared by Troop 488 to scout volunteers as they are finalized.
Volunteer hours from working with Troop 488 scouts will be counted for your Scout Leadership hours.
